Great Websites with Great Content

I’m a firm believer that when you content is outstanding your website will attract attention. I’m also convinced it takes more that good content or even great content to make a mark in this business of marketing your service or product. Your topics need to respond to the issues that your visitors need answers. You also need to include SEO or search engine optimization, article marketing and social networking.

If you’re looking for content think about what you are working on with your clients and use that for content. What are you doing to show your clients how to save money, or time and energy? Write about those solutions.

  • Do you have articles that you can expand?
  • Is there a holiday or major event that takes place shortly that you can write about?
  • What about that book you read lately on self actualization? Can you write about that? Is there something in that book that can make your clients’ lives better?
  • What problems is your family having? What did you read on the news that made you more emotional? Write about that.
  • What are the two biggest mistakes you clients make when it comes to your area of expertise?

Remember, when you write you’re not playing Scrabble. You don’t have to demonstrate your verbal skills but you do need to provide important information to readers and convince them they can find more on your website. You won’t scare off readers by using simple words and explanations but you will lose them if they can’t understand you.

Remember, that packing your articles with keywords won’t get you very far with the search engines either. They’re looking for real content. You need to use keywords but use them when and where they make sense. Search engine optimization is an integral part of your writing but not the only approach for getting more readers.

Turn your blog post into an article and submit that article to article directories. Others may find those articles and create a link to your article from their blog post. Search engines approve of that and will rank you higher which means more people will find you when they look for keywords that you’re using in your articles and posts.

Much success with your writing and for your business.
